Sullivan County BOCES seeks a dynamic educational leader who has knowledge of New York State Education Law, instructional standards and public school finance. The successful candidate must be able to lead a multi-faceted organization, collaborate well with diverse constituencies and advocate strongly for public school children. The District Superintendent also serves as the liaison for the NYS Education Department.
 

The Sullivan BOCES serves eight school districts in the southern Catskill region of New York and has an annual budget of approximately $30 million. The supervisory district is home to 9,233 students and provides cost-effective, shared programs of excellence in special education, career & technical education, adult & continuing education, alternative education, professional & staff development, instructional support services, and central business office services.

 

The Sullivan BOCES is a regional leader in all areas, especially those pertaining to the development of a talent pipeline to serve the Mid-Hudson Valley region.  We seek an individual with the leadership qualities to carry on this important work.

Data & Curriculum Coordinator - FT - 12 month position

Qualifications: 
 
Valid NYS Certification as an administrator at the appropriate Level.
Minimum of five years of experience as a classroom teacher.
Minumum of three years of administrative or management experience that includes planning; budgeting; personnel selection, supervision and evaluation; and program and curriculum development and assessment.
Certification in curriculum is preferred.
Experience with faculty development and support: quality teaching, learning, and assessment processes.
Experience with human resources and fiscal managment.
Demonstrated data analysis skills.
Experience with building successful partnerships with businesses, community agencies, K-12 schools, and higher education.
