The Educational Component at the Recovery Center’s DATA (Day Treatment
for Adolescents) Program will provide academic instruction to participating
students from local school districts. The model is based upon several
others operating around New York State by BOCES for component school districts.
The mission is to keep students abreast of classroom instruction during
their treatment. Students will receive a minimum of two and one-half (2
1/2) hours of instruction four (4) days per week using the home school’s
classroom texts and materials. This service is also available to students
hospitalized at Catskill Regional Medical Center in the Mental Health
or Pediatric Unit.
