	Contact Information: Elizabeth Huggler, Director of Technology Phone (845) 295-4051 or e-mail lhuggler@scboces.org Distance Learning - Coser 457 The Sullivan County BOCES Distance Learning Network is a broadband MPEG II network linking classrooms across the county and beyond. In each room, state-of-the-art equipment enables students miles apart to share classes via voice and video, as well as to exchange data files and to access the Internet. Identically equipped rooms allows the instructor to be located in any classroom with the ability to see and hear his or her students in any other classroom. Likewise, students can see and hear the instructor and one another for full, live interactivity. Classrooms are further equipped with document cameras that also serve as overhead projectors, fax machines for exchange of written materials, and two VCRs pre-programmed for either playing or recording. A satellite hook up and an ISDN connection provides availability for down linking virtual field trips and video conferencing. The Coser also offers the availability for online college credit bearing courses for high school/college students.
