Our Vision

The School Improvement Office at SC BOCES is committed to providing the tools for schools to create a continuous improvement process. Combining the collaborative efforts of parents, teachers, staff, students, school administrators, members of the boards of education, and community members, our staff facilitates a process for all members to contribute to the education of our school community. Our focus is to improve and enrich the lives of all stakeholders.

Our Mission

Is to facilitate a continuous improvement process for the educational institutions in our region through the principles and processes outlined below:

Principles:

Mission Driven Educational Organizations led by Total Quality Leadership using Research-Based Data-Driven Decision Making to facilitate a Continuous Improvement Process with a strong Customer Focus in a Continuous Learning Environment where Team Membership and Team Leadership are integral parts of the process.

Processes:

    • Philosophy
    • Mission
    • Team Structure
    • Professional Development
    • Curriculum
    • Instructional Strategies
    • Interdisciplinary Teaching
    • Assessment
    • Community Collaboration
    • Advisor-Advisee (Guidance / Counseling)

Working together with all stakeholders and partners, we will collectively focus the entire educational community on increasing student achievement, improving instruction, increasing learning for all students, and documenting our progress.

The process of the creation, development, and ongoing alignment of our vision and mission, was guided by work with Dr. Diane Rivers, President of QES, Inc. (www.qes-quest.com), Robert J. Kaiser Middle School in the Monticello Central School Distrct, and the Mid-Hudson Regional School Support Center. It will be further evaluated, processed, edited, and realigned with the help of all the stakeholders in our educational community. Thank you to all the faculty and staff who contributed to this process. It was a pleasure working with you!
