Assistant Superintendent for Instruction/ Human Resources

NYS SDA Certification Required

BOCES seeks candidates to fill a senior management position. Candidates should possess strong communication, leadership and human resource skills to oversee various instructional programs within BOCES. Previous central office or building level administration experience is required.

Network Administrator F-T - Immediate opening

Skills: Server and Network knowledge a must. Position subject to minimum qualifications and Civil Service examination process

Job Desc: Knowledge and experience should include Novell, Windows 2K and XP, Linux, VMware, SAN Solutions, PC hardware, computer support, help desk, network protocols, Computer security, NT, MAC, MS Access, MS Office, Antivirus software, video conferencing software, and pda synchronization support. CISCO and VoIP experience favorable. Minimum Qualifications: A) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or Computer Programming and one (1) year of senior level computer system engineering experience in a position involving the installation, and tuning Microsoft NT/2000 Server network operating system software and related hardware; or B) Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, or Computer Programming and three(3) years of senior level computer system engineering experience in a position involving the installation, and tuning Microsoft NT/2000 Server network operating system software and related hardware; or C) High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years experience as described in (A) above; or (D) An equivalent combination of experience and training as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C) above. Nationally recognized system certifications will be considered as experience for each certification.

American Sign Language Teacher - Anticipated opening

NYS Certification or Cert. Eligible Required

This ASL teacher will conduct classes traditionally and via Distance Learning for high school students in multiple districts. This means of teaching requires a combination of practical knowledge of the methods and techniques of instruction, and the subject matter being taught. Successful candidates are effective, enthusiastic, and motivational teachers with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
