Academic Summer School - Coser 409A
This is a 30-day Academic Summer School Program held at the Liberty Middle School for students in grades 7-12. The courses offered are designed for students who have completed the requirements for the course, but need a passing grade or need to recover credits in either the course or, in some cases, the Regents examination. Students may also retake a course or Regent’s exam over to raise their grades. The tentative schedule, registration and general information for Academic Summer School are listed on the SC BOCES website.
Cost Formula: A per-student tuition rate will be established based on projected enrollment.
2012-2013 Summer School Schedule
Academic courses: July 8th through August 16th
Regents Exams: August 14th & August 15th(REGENTS EXAM SCHEDULE MAY NOT BE CHANGED OR MODIFIED)
Classes will be held Monday through Thursday-NO CLASSES ON FRIDAYS
Class Schedule:
- Period 1 7:45 - 9:45
- Period 2 9:45 - 11:45
- Period 3 11:45 - 1:45 High School classes
Earth Science Lab Practical-TBD. (Students enrolled in Earth Science or retaking Regents exam must retake the lab practical)
Registration:
- All student registration will be done at the home school via the Sullivan County BOCES website to ensure students are registered for the appropriate class and/or Regents Exam.
- Students and parents must sign and return Summer School Contract by end of the first week of classes.
- Please fill out the electronic registration form in its entirety.
- Regents only students must register via the Sullivan County BOCES website July 15th.
- STUDENT MUST BRING PHOTO ID ON THE DATE OF THE REGENTS EXAM TO BE ADMITTED INTO THE EXAM.
- Prior to June 22nd, please forward IEP's and 504 plans to Linda Blanton at Sullivan County BOCES via bus mail. After June 22nd please send to the Liberty Middle School.
- Tuition costs have not been determined.
