• This program is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills that will prepare them for employment and educational opportunities in the areas of equipment operation and maintenance and a variety of allied outdoor careers.

    Topics of study include heavy equipment operation, forestry and logging, site engineering, equipment service and repair, landscaping and conservation practices. Course content includes both theory and hands-on skill development for each subject studied. Major curriculum areas have integrated math, science, English, safety, and career exploration components. 

    Natural Resources is a one or two year program that requires students to work outdoors throughout the school year. Community projects provide students with opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in practical applications.
