Public Safety Services is a one or two-year program designed to provide training to 11th and 12th grade students in the fields of law enforcement, security, corrections and other public safety occupations. A renewed national interest in public security and safety is expanding employment opportunities for these occupations. Students will learn both in a classroom setting and practical exercises (hands-on) what the public safety field is about. Students will receive industry related certifications such as NYS Security guard certification, AHA CPR/ AED certification as well as multiple Fema certifications. Students will have the opportunity attend field trips to such venues as the WTC museum, Orange County Police academy, and the Sullivan County courthouse. Students will also have the opportunity to meet guest speakers  that are experts in the public Safety industry.
