The project is administered by the New York State Education Department – office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities. S3TAIR is designed to improve outcomes for students with disabilities in low performing districts by increasing their educator’s skill in research/ evidence based effective practices in the three core areas of Literacy, Behavior and Academic Supports, and Delivery of Effective Special Education Services. Schools that have been validated as having best practice(s) are matched with schools that are in need of assistance.
