These high school students have the opportunity to substantially advance their writing skills while earning three college credits.Composition I students develop the critical reading, writing, and analytic skills essential to all higher level academic work. They delve fully into the writing process, crafting several long papers. Their work includes extensive pre-writing, independent research, the workshopping of papers, and writing multiple drafts of their essays. They come to understand writing as an in-depth process of inquiry, discovery, and clarification.
