Scholastic Art Awards
The Scholastic Arts Awards is a visual arts competition open to students in grades 7-12. The program is designed to identify students with exceptional artistic talent and to display their incredible work in the exhibition at SUNY New Paltz. Scholastic is a national program and regional student winners receive the opportunity for recognition, publication, and scholarships. High school seniors who submit portfolios are considered for more than $1.5 million in tuition scholarships at colleges across the nation. School District Cost:
$1000 per High School Building / $500 per Middle School Participation - CoSer Participants
$1500 per High School Building / $750 per Middle School Participation - Non-CoSer Districts
Costs Include:
- Registration into the National Arts Awards
- Personalized assistance with paperwork, the website, and guidance with online registration
- An art exhibit showcasing our students’ artwork
- An awards ceremony presenting awards to our students
- Certificates, pins, programs, and congratulatory letters for students based on award level
School’s role:
- Provide a designated person to be a liaison for the district to help with the school’s online submissions of artwork, digitization of artwork
- Adhere to deadlines
- Drop off the artwork of Gold and Silver winners at a BOCES collection site
