We are so proud to recognize students in our Health Programs for their heroic actions and quick thinking: Gavin Shupe, New Vision student, and Emma Stanton, Health Occupations student.
When Gavin realized their bus driver was experiencing a medical emergency, he and Emma acted immediately—helping to stop the bus and prevent what could have been a serious accident. Once the bus was safely stopped, Michael Carman, an Allied Health student, helped ensure that all students exited safely. Instead of panicking, our students remained with the driver until emergency responders arrived.
Their calm response, courage, and commitment to helping others are truly commendable and reflect the very best of our school community.

On November 25, 2025, Sullivan BOCES proudly celebrated its 75th Anniversary—marking seven and a half decades of service, innovation, and commitment to the students, educators, and communities of Sullivan County. The event was held at SUNY Sullivan in the Grossinger’s Dining Room, where state and county officials, representatives from local school districts, and community partners gathered to honor this milestone achievement.
Over the decades, Sullivan BOCES has evolved to meet the shifting needs of the region. From early vocational programs in the 1950s to modern workforce initiatives, specialized services, and streamlined back-office services for school districts, BOCES has remained steadfast in its mission: to enhance student performance across all component districts through leadership, cooperative services, and efficient, collaborative efforts.

On June 15, the Elementary Program at Sullivan BOCES held a celebration/graduation for fourteen kindergarten and seven first grade students who will be moving up to the next grade level with the Elementary Program at the Rubin Pollack Education Center. Administrators, staff, and parents attended this milestone celebration.

On June 16, the Elementary Program at Sullivan BOCES held a Stepping Up ceremony for nine sixth-grade students moving to the middle school program at the Rubin Pollack Education Center. Administrators, staff, and parents attended this milestone celebration.

Sullivan BOCES held its commencement ceremony on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, for the Rubin Pollack Education Center at the Clubhouse at Villa Roma. Family, teachers, and school administrators honored the nineteen graduates for their educational achievements.
Career & Tech Center Recognizes 213 Graduates (cllick for more)
On June 15, the Career & Technical Education Center at Sullivan BOCES held its Recognition Ceremony for 213 graduating Career & Tech students at the Tri-Valley Central School District. The auditorium was filled with smiling faces, cheers, and applause as the graduates made their way across the stage to accept their awards and certificates.
