Sullivan BOCES Transitions Select Programs to a 4-Day Hybrid Schedule on March 1, 2021 (Click here to learn more)

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Sullivan BOCES is happy to announce that we will transition from a 2-day hybrid schedule to a   4-day hybrid schedule on March 1, 2021, for all elementary K-6 programs, all MS/HS iTAP programs, IDT, SPARC, and Alternative Education students.  

At this time, students who attend the Special Education MS/HS, CAP, and 12:1:1 programs and Career & Technical Education will remain on the 2-day hybrid schedule.

If you have chosen to keep your child on a hybrid schedule, your child will attend in-person 4-days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday and will work remotely on Wednesdays.  All other students will be on a full remote schedule.

If you have not completed the scheduling survey or relayed this information to your child’s Principal, please contact the main office of your child’s program as soon as possible to make arrangements.

We will notify your home school district of this transition so they can make transportation arrangements for your child. If you have any questions or concerns regarding transportation, please contact the CSE/PPS Office at your home school district.

As we return to a 4-day hybrid schedule for the program listed above, please remember that you are required to complete the COVID-19 Student Building Entrance Screening Questionnaire and take your child’s temperature before sending them to school each day. The link to the questionnaire is  

If your child shows any symptoms of COVID-19, which include a temperature greater than or equal to 100.0° F (37.8° C), feels feverish or has chills, cough, loss of taste or smell, fatigue/feeling of tiredness, sore throat, shortness of breath or trouble breathing, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, nasal congestion/runny nose, headaches, muscle pain or body aches - please keep them home and consult your physician. 

All students will have their temperatures taken using a handheld contactless digital thermometer as they arrive each day. Any student with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will be stood off to the side and rescanned after the remainder of the bus disembarks. If they still register a temperature of 100 degrees or higher on the second scan, they will return to their home district via the bus. The students’ parents and home district will be called immediately.

Once in school, students and staff are required to wear masks and follow social distancing protocols at all times.  Students will be provided with mask breaks in areas where they can remove their face coverings while maintaining social distancing. Masks can also be removed during mealtime while maintaining social distancing.
